Chevita, a Georgia native, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in clinical practice, leadership, research, and education to her role as a passionate advocate for Cardiovascular health. She holds a Doctoral degree in Nurse Practice and a Master's in Nursing with a subspecialty in Informatics from Walden University. As an adjunct faculty member at South University and Walden University, she has been influential in educating future nurses.

Chevita is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia, and she holds certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Since joining GHP in 2017, she has focused on advancing cardiovascular medicine and enhancing patient outcomes through innovative educational initiatives and practices.

Lindie, a Macon, Georgia native, began her nursing journey with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia College and State University. She built her career as a cardiac registered nurse, gaining experience at institutions like Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Atrium Navicent Health Medical Center, and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Driven by her passion for nursing, Lindie earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Augusta University. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the AANP Cardiology Group, the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, and the American College of Cardiology, reflecting her dedication to advancing patient care and lifelong learning.

Rachel Smith is a native of Georgia, and found her love for cardiology in nursing school, spending her nursing career at Piedmont Athens caring for advanced and critical heart and vascular patients, and training new nurses. This inspired her to continue her education. She received her nurse practitioner degree at the Medical College of Georgia while a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. She is board certified through the America Association of Nurse Practitioners since 2013, and a member of the American College of Cardiology. In her career she has done multiple specialties, but found her passion in cardiology, having done structural heart, heart failure, cardiac and vascular, and general cardiology. She joined the team at Georgia Heart Physicians in 2022.

Cynthia Guevera-Rios, AGACNP-BC, is a dedicated and caring nurse practitioner with 13 years of hospital experience, including 5 years in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) who proudly served in the US military. She's bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English, which helps her connect with a wide range of patients. Cindy began her nursing journey at Gordon State College in Barnesville, Georgia, where she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Her dedication to the nursing profession led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Middle Georgia State University, and she's also certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
